We can play for hours doing different things different ways. My kids are 7,7,8,16,16,20 and we never get bored of playing this game. There are plenty of options for playing teams, opposition, or single player. The configurations and characters are almost endless. The review title says it all. I wish they could just figure out how to make it a motion sensitive game; When you jump it jumps; when you swing, it swings.

Click on the link below, register, pick an account type (referral is the easiest) and complete just 1 offer (Very important that you complete the 1 offer otherwise your account will sit in limbo until you do). This is not like other sites where you need to complete one offer on 2 or 3 different pages!!! And a lot of these offers are FREE trials with nothing else to buy...No commitments!!!
There are plenty of cool offers to choose from such as Blockbuster online, Stamp.com, Netflix, Gamefly which are services you would regularly sign up for anyways and their all secure networks, why not use them to get a free iPod or cash (I did the Stamps.com for a 4 week free trial and it is free!). Look at the offers and choose the one that works for you. After signing up and completing your one offer, simply refer 5-13 people (depending on the FREE prize you choose) to do the same under your link (just post the same thing as I have on eBay, and you'll get your referrals before the auction even ends.)
Then they will ship your free PS3 or your selected item for free, I chose the PS3. No Joke, 100% REAL!!! The reason these companies make money, is because most people don't bother getting all the referrals. All you have to do is post it on EBAY or any message boards, blogs, face book, my space or any place you hang out at. ! ...and I really liked melee (and I loved the N64 version also lol). Brawl has a few more additional features, but I expected a lot more in game play. Since I don't own the game, I wouldn't really be able to tell too much of a difference between this one and the last.
It's a great game, though, nonetheless, and I'd definitely recommend it. Awesome party game.

My son got this game today and within 1 hour was disappointed b/c he was not challenged. As opposed to Mario Supersluggers which he finds challenging, he thought this was only so-so, and so the review is not high. He does add that it may be more fun with multiple people, however, we've not had time to play with him....
It has a lot of fun events, although the interaction is a little sloppy as compared to Wii Sports. Also, it's difficult for lefty's to play as although you can play left...the characters still show right which can be confusing depending on the game.
Otherwise, the game really is dependent on the user learning sometime ultra complex control sequences (buttons, nunchuck movements, etc...) to perform what should be easy tasks. ...think 'Finishing Moves' from Mortal Combat.
All in all...fun, but not sure if how long I'll keep. ..oh, and be careful not to sprain your wrists when you're trying to run.....timing doesn't have anything to do with the speed...just how fast you can alternate your two hands going up and down.
I love how many different events you can play just starting out, and I'm sure that once I unlock some more of them it will be even better! We only played with two people, but I can imagine it being even more fun with a large group. A couple events are difficult to figure out how to do, but even on the first try I was still able to compete against the computer and do fairly well. The graphics are great, and the variety of characters to choose from is huge! It's also very fun to be able to play your Mii. The con I noticed is that if you play for more than an hour or so, events like running and swimming will make your arms very sore! But, overall it seems like a great time and I plan on buying it as a gift as well!

It was a great product and fun game to play while on the plane during my vacation this past week. It was great. I recommended to everyone who loves the olympics and sports.
i really enjoy playing this game. it's really fun, some of the games were hard at first to learn, but once i learned how to play certin events i liked everything about the game.
As a DS lover, I expected way too much from this game. I bought it because I thought it would fit in well with my other 30+ games, but I ended up selling this one within 2 days. It was not fun at all and the controls are a pain to deal with. The graphics are great, but what good is that if the game is a bore to play?

I love Sonic games. This one is a little different than the other ones I have played. It seems a little convoluted in the city, when you have to interact with people in the streets. However, once the level begins it is the same fun, fast paced, heart pumping Sonic all over again. I really enjoy the two-player coop mode in this version. I wish they could integrate online coop mode with the game.

This was another gift for my husband, and he loves Sonic so he was really happy when he got this. He says it is a lot of fun, and it goes very well with the Sonic Rush Adventure. Which was just a ploy to get me to buy both, but it was worth it!
Simply awesome and addictive. The music above all. Besides, the game is easy to beat. Despite having two playable characters, the game is still fun to play especially playing the game as Blaze the cat because she's so cool.
Sonic has strayed from his 2D lineage in recent years to try and compete with the likes of Mario and Ratchet and Clank in the 3D realm of platforming. With the exception of the adventure series, his attempts have been futile. Now, I had been hearing that the hand-held Sonic games were still solid additions to the series, so when I saw this game sued, I decided I'd give it a try.
The graphics here are essentially the traditional 2D look with some tweaks. First of all the characters themselves are 3D models, while the background, along with the game-play itself, is still largely 2D. This provides a unique look to the game, that I personally like. It's sort of like bringing the old Sonic games into the new age of gaming. The backgrounds are all well done and very colorful, in the usual Sonic fashion. Everything is pretty traditional, with some 3D effects added.
The soundtrack is pretty typical for a Sonic game. Not bad, but not amazing either. Fast paced rock with bad lyrics and some techno. I just turned off the music and listened to my ipod while playing.
The game-play is classic Sonic game-play for the most part. Very fast with solid level design and power ups. Although sometimes I just can't shake the feelings that I'm just pressing forward and occasionally jumping so I don't fall into a pit. This is especially the case when you pick up enough speed to just run straight through your enemies. They did add in a few novelties here and there like swinging on a chain to reach an otherwise unattainable place. However, this has all been done before, and you really don't come across things like that very often in the game. You can also play as Blaze for aome more game-play value. The boss fights are in 3D to mix up the game-play a bit, and it actually works quite well. Why they can't accomplish this in the console attempts of a 3D Sonic is beyond me.
If you're a Sonic fan you should check this game out. If you're just into platformers, you'll probably enjoy this as well. This is essentially what the console Sonic games should be.

I dont own a wii or this game but I play it at my aunts house when I go, when i first played it was fun then I had to do the same level over, and over, and over, and over, and over again, that just got annoying,
If I ever get a wii I wouldnt buy it, its way too repetitive if you play it everyone in awhile its fun but to own it and play the same level over and over, etc to unlock the next level it isnt fun
i know the mario games have that(super mario 64, sunshine, galaxy) but its different, ,ario games were somewha like that it works better with mario and its not as repetitive, so I wouldnt recoment buying the game maybe just maybe renting.
One day, long ago, in a world of 16 bit wonder, Sonic meant fun, blistering speed. Now it just seems to mean big fat money signs for the publisher (which unfortunately doesn't benefit us gamers). It comes with the prerequisite party games in addition to the single player and training mode.
The multiplayer games were actually decent, but hard to justify purchase when the main game is so frustrating. The real problems start with the training mode. Through poor design, the object of each training level is given briefly, leading to unnecessary fumbling to figure out what should be extremely simple. To make matters worse, there is even a training level that can not be completed. I know, because out of sheer stupid determination, I tried again and again and again. Whatever it was that needed to be accomplished was lost on me. Giving up on the training mode, I jumped heartily into the game, discovering that this game ran on a rail. A very narrow one at that. Unfortunately for looks, the designers opted to make it look like there was no rail that you were confined to so there are countless times that you will veer one way or the other to avoid the enemy only to find that you are shoved right back into the way of the baddy to lose all of your hard earned rings. Then you must build up speed again which in the 2D version of Sonic was not nearly as aggravating as it is in this version. Which means one of the main allures of Sonic is lost, as you are constantly tripped up by baddies and forced to regain your speed and rings at a maddingly slow pace.
I put up with all of this, but I think I lost it when I found out that you have to replay a level over and over with different missions before you can advance to another level, without any real explanation as to what needs to be done. Meaning the little feeling of triumph you had at finishing the level melts as you realize you will have to do it again, and again and again.
secret rings is a nice wii game. the controls aren't the best but they're at least reliable 90% of the time you use the. the games fun, but it's story structure is not the best out there because they're using still frames to represent a book style theme. the voice acting is defenatly not one of sonic's best. in the adventure mode, you unlock ablilities to help sonic. you can also unlock up to 40 mini games, though they're mostly boring but some are ok. at least sega thinking outside the normal stuff. this is an good sonic game, but it defenatly needs some work. rent it first.

For those of you who haven't played the original Sonic Rush, shame on you. Now go back and play it! For those of you who have already played SR, meet Sonic Rush Adventure, or as I would call it, Sonic Rush +. What really makes this sequel better than the original SR is that it keeps all the fast paced, addictive gameplay of the 1st and then expands the content in almost every way possible. The amount of content in SRA is more than 4-5x that of SR, a very welcoming factor considering how short the 1st game was. Not only does it have 7 new main stages with better detail (less death pits, more polished stage design) and a new emeralds challenge mode, but it also has a map charter system where in you navigate through the sea with various ships using the stylus, 16 various extra stages that you can play, newer more interesting bosses, a mission mode that has 100 different missions to accomplish, hidden upgrades for your ships, decorations to add to the main island you start off on, time attack with records and recordings and even a wi-fi versus mode to go with the wireless/DS download versus mode. All in all, it's the good old Sonic Rush gameplay met with much much more content that's sure to have you playing even longer than before. If you're looking for more classic 2D action games to play and add to your collection, then Sonic Rush Adventure is a great addition and a must-have to any library.
This was a gift for my husband, but he said he really enjoys playing it, and it has great graphics for the DS.

This game is pretty good. I like raising chao, but it gets repetitive. Its a fun game with a good story, but I don't like Rouge's and Knuckle's treasure hunting games.
Many would argue that the Sonic Adventure series are the only well done 3D adaptations of Sonic, and I would have to agree. I'll start out with why I love this game. First of all, there's guns or anything, its just a fun plat-former, which you rarely see anymore. Its a very colorful game, making it easy on the eyes, and possibly bringing on some nostalgia. It features the blue hedgehog that we all know and love. The level design can be pretty good at times. Almost all of the no crystal levels are enjoyable. The new character, Shadow, is a less annoying addition than Amy was. With all of the characters you can play as there is a lot of replay value. The chao garden is also upgraded from the last game if that matters to you. Now on to why this game can flat out make me mad. First of all, yes the graphics are colorful, but I can't even really tell if they've been upgraded or not from the last Sonic Adventure game. On top of this there are slight frame-rate problems throughout the game. The music is horrendous as always. The worst thing though, is probably the camera. It was tolerable in the last game, but somehow it got worse, and is sometimes enough to make me turn off the Gamecube. Another thing would be the incredibly hard campaign. Believe it or not, the thing that you will die from most in this game is falling off the edge, which in my opinion is more frustrating than any other way of dying in a video game. Plus there are those stupid missions where you go out looking for the chaos emeralds, no one wants to do those missions, they're boring and they suck. Overall, it just feels like they rushed it out the door without giving the development team time to give it some polish.
When i bought this game i didn't have a gamecube i bought it for my aunt's gamecube, it was an amazing exprience Then when i got my gamecube i had enough time to beat it, the chao rock i pent hours on them, the gameplay rocks(well it's sonic)And I liked the fact that you could play Robotnik(eggman)But my favorite part was basically the chao, but nonetheless the game rocks the only thing i didn't like was the common glitches in it but thats hardly a complaint.

Amazon.com ReviewSega's mascot made his 3-D debut on the Dreamcast, but with the demise of that system the zippy blue hedgehog is popping up everywhere--including on the GameCube. Unfortunately, his first next-gen appearance, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, is marred by the same 3-D camera problems that plagued the Dreamcast version, and the multiplayer "battle" component isn't all that it's cracked up to be.
Right out of the gate, players have the option of choosing Hero (Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles) or Dark (Dr. Eggman, Shadow, and Rouge) quests, which are completely different. Sonic and his dark counterpart Shadow traverse levels at warp speed colleting coins and power-ups while fighting enemies in the game's most exhilarating moments. Unfortunately, the other characters are nowhere near as fun to play. Dr. Eggman and Tails fight through levels that require little more than constant button-mashing to shoot an endless procession of enemies, and Knuckles and Rouge participate in seemingly endless levels that require searching for a variety of objects.
Graphically, the game is a bit of a letdown considering the processing muscle of GameCube. Models are fairly simplistic, and level textures are sometimes bland. Game Boy Advance owners can use a link cable to download Chao from the game and train them on the go, but the rewards for doing so are minor considering the time investment involved. The main feature this game offers over its Dreamcast predecessor is the variety of multiplayer modes, which are fun but offer none of the depth or replayability of standalone multiplayer games like Super Smash Bros. Melee. Still, they are nice additions--especially the racing games--and round out a flawed single-player component. Sonic addicts who missed this game the first time around on the Dreamcast will definitely want to check it out, but the finicky camera, tedious non-Sonic/Shadow levels in single-player mode, and surprisingly shallow multiplayer components (especially the Chao games) turn what could have been a great game into a mere good one. --T.
